1) Field activity in Briancon: join us at the Terrasses Solidaires in Briançon and support people who have recently arrived in France. As a field volunteer, you’d explain to people how the infoline works, share the number, and collect valuable feedback to help us improve. Furthermore, you would support our logistics and administration tasks. We ask for a minimum commitment of two weeks and a basic knowledge of French. You’d be hosted for free in our volunteer house, just a few meters from the Refuge.
2) Respond to messages and calls: support people on the move by responding to their requests to the infoline. Using our extensive database of services across France, you’d guide people to the right support based on their needs. Each helpline shift lasts three hours, and you can choose a time of day that best fits your schedule. Even just one shift per week or every two weeks would be a huge help! This activity can be done remotely—you’d just need a computer and a good internet connection. Alternatively, if you have some time to spare, you’re welcome to join us in Briançon.
3) Database update: do you know of—or are you part of—any local associations, movements, or solidarity groups that support people on the move, refugees, or migrants? Then you can contribute by periodically updating our database or adding new contacts to it, in order to enrich the network. This helps us provide safe and reliable guidance. It’s a flexible, remote role that you can do on your own schedule—even just occasionally. If you’d like to come meet us in Briançon, you’d be very welcome in our volunteer house!
If one or more of these activities speak to you and you’d like to become part of our team, we’d love for you to join us. Click on the link to join the association for just 1 euro and you will automatically begin receiving information by email about the project, or if you prefer to receive information without joining the association then just drop us an email!
Starting in the second half of August, we’ll begin organizing working groups, training sessions, and—if you’d like to join us in Briançon—we’ll be more than happy to welcome you in person.
Love,
The Link Team
